In 2014 by the HES-SO Valais-Wallis was commissioned with the CPPS project by the Valais Department of Education and Security.
The project enables the young people of Valais and the wider population to be effectively trained and prepared for the possibility of an earthquake.
The head of the general project and the educational aspects is Anne Sauron, Doctor of Geophysics at the ETH Zurich, while Joseph Moerschell, Doctor of Science and Physics at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis in Sion is responsible for all the technical aspects.
The simulator was built thanks to the combined skills of people from various development sectors:
The technical team of the Institute of Systems Engineering of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis in Sion,
The educational and design team at Arteclik, Houssay (France),
The medical team, made up of Samaritans from various cantons.
